Algeria News Portal: Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, chaired a Cabinet meeting that addressed a number of presentations concerning the follow-up on bilateral cooperation agreements signed with Chad and Niger, the National Strategy for Cancer Prevention and Control, and the 2035 Vision.
Following the Prime Minister’s presentation of the agenda and the government’s activities over the past two weeks, the President issued several instructions, orders, and directives.

At the outset of his remarks, President Tebboune thanked the Prime Minister for his efforts to recover embezzled funds and reintegrate them into the national economy, particularly those recovered in the provinces of Tissemsilt and Batna in the automotive sector, emphasizing in this context the state’s determination to continue the fight against corruption without letup, and to recover embezzled funds for the benefit of the national economy.
Regarding the follow-up on bilateral cooperation agreements concluded with Niger and Chad

Regarding the partnership between Algeria and Niger:President Tebboune directed that efforts be made to diversify areas of cooperation to include priority sectors, in a manner that achieves mutual benefit and shared interests, while emphasizing the need to complete the power plant within the next three months—a historic achievement that reflects the importance the President attaches to this cooperation, in terms of both quality and speed of implementation. The Algerian President also emphasized Algeria’s readiness to deepen this support and partnership with the sister nation of Niger in other areas, particularly oil exploration and production, reflecting its commitment to its African dimension and depth.He ordered the strengthening of mechanisms for ongoing monitoring and coordination to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the various agreed-upon commitments, through intensifying ministerial visits and reinforcing them by establishing new channels of communication.
He also ordered the launch of a joint media partnership and cooperation between Algeria and Niger to support these promising bilateral projects, which are of mutual benefit to the two brotherly peoples.

Regarding the partnership between Algeria and Chad:
The President of the Republic emphasized strengthening all areas of cooperation with sisterly Chad and approving new economic projects in the fields of energy, electricity He also ordered the accelerated construction of a cement plant with a production capacity exceeding one million tons per year, and the immediate completion of two sections of the Trans-Saharan Highway by Algerian companies, with the remaining section to be completed on Chadian territory, with the aim of boosting trade and economic exchanges between the two countries.generation, and oil exploration.
Regarding the National Strategy for Cancer Prevention and Control Horizons :2035
At the beginning of his speech, the President of the Republic thanked the healthcare community for their efforts in providing optimal care to all those injured in the Algerian bus accident in neighboring Tunisia, where the injured were treated under the fastest and best conditions, being transported to hospitals in Annaba and El Tarf in a short time. He also thanked the Tunisian health authorities for their intervention and cooperation.
Regarding the National Strategy for Cancer Prevention and Control, Horizons 2035, the President called for the adoption of a comprehensive national approach based on prevention, rapid early detection, and effective treatment, particularly since Algeria provides free healthcare and treatment.
He also called for strengthening the capacity of healthcare facilities and improving patient care across all provinces of the country, while preparing a feasibility study for the construction of a specialized cancer treatment hospital in each province.
He further ordered the establishment of a mechanism to oversee and monitor the supply and distribution of cancer medications to ensure the optimal utilization of treatment resources.
The President of the Republic reiterated his instructions to the Ministries of Trade and Health to expedite the establishment of inspection laboratories for all goods entering Algeria at ports and airports.
He also emphasized the need to ensure close coordination among the various sectors involved to ensure the long-term success of this strategy.President Tebboune also ordered the Minister of the Interior, Local Communities, and Transport to remove buses older than 25 years from the national fleet within a maximum of three months.
