NOUAKCHOTT — The 8th Edition of the Algerian Products and Services Fair has successfully pivoted from showcasing potential to solidifying concrete economic alliances. In a high-level ceremony held in the Mauritanian capital, Algerian and Mauritanian officials oversaw the signing of 23 commercial agreements and 4 healthcare cooperation Mous, marking a new milestone in bilateral relations.

The signing was attended by Algeria’s Ambassador to Mauritania, H.E. Amine Said, alongside top-tier representatives from the Mauritanian Employers’ Federation, the Investment Promotion Agency, and the Council for Algerian Economic Renewal (CREA).
The agreements span several strategic sectors, signaling a diversification of Algerian exports:

Infrastructure & Energy: A standout deal was secured by “Elsewedy Electric,” signing a $15 million commercial contract.
Mining & Raw Materials: The SONAREM Group, through its subsidiary ENOF, signed two Memoranda of Understanding to export critical minerals including Dolomite, Bentonite, and Calcium Carbonate to the Mauritanian market.
Manufacturing: The motorcycle manufacturer “SYM” and various public enterprises also finalized key trade partnerships.

In a significant expansion of Algeria’s service sector, the Al-Azhar Clinic signed four cooperation agreements with Mauritanian public and private health institutions. This move underscores the growing regional confidence in Algerian medical expertise and specialized hospital services.

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion highlighted that these results are not exhaustive; more agreements are expected in the coming days. The fair has evolved beyond a traditional exhibition, becoming a primary engine for regional integration and a platform for tangible investment.
