Nouakchott – The 8th Exhibition of Algerian Products and Services in Nouakchott has concluded with a major breakthrough, recording the signing of 25 new trade agreements and MoUs. This brings the total number of partnerships signed during the event to 52 strategic agreements.

The signing ceremony, held at the Permanent Showroom for Algerian Products, took place in the presence of the Algerian Ambassador to Mauritania, Amine Sid, alongside representatives from the National Union of Mauritanian Employers and key business leaders from both countries.

Key Takeaways & Sector Coverage:

The agreements span a wide range of vital economic sectors, reflecting the diversification of Algeria’s non-hydrocarbon exports:

  • Industry & Mining: Including pharmaceuticals, electrical cables, and mechanical industries.
  • Healthcare: Medical supplies and health services.
  • Innovation: Specialized solutions for startups and research-based economic entities.
  • Water Management: Partnerships involving entities under the Ministry of Hydraulics.

Strategic Impact

This economic surge reflects the success of the “Win-Win” approach promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion. By establishing a permanent presence in Nouakchott, Algeria is cementing its position as a key strategic partner in West Africa and the wider African market.

Officials noted that the exhibition has evolved from a mere display of products into a functional economic platform for long-term investment and sustainable trade relations between the two neighboring countries.
