Algeria News portal: The Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts is hosting the 25th edition of the International Tourism and Travel Fair at the Palais des Expositions des Pins Maritimes in Algiers, themed “Algeria: Authentic Tourism and Sustainable Development,” from May 18 to 21, as stated by the ministry.

The source indicated that this international event, overseen by Minister Houria Medahi, is “the most significant tourism event in Algeria, reflecting the vision of the highest authorities to strengthen Algeria’s status among outstanding tourist destinations while showcasing its key natural assets, cultural heritage, and hospitality.”
The fair also aims to “support and promote domestic tourism by highlighting Algerian tourism products, allowing families, the national community, and visitors to explore exclusive offers and a wide range of tourism services at competitive prices, coinciding with preparations for the upcoming summer season in 2026.
”This event serves as a promotional platform—“a space to showcase the new momentum within the sector as it strives for increased objectives, backed by an improved investment climate in Algeria.
This progress has led to the completion of various tourism projects that bolster domestic tourism by enhancing accommodation capacity, diversifying offerings, and improving services while attracting more tourists to different Algerian destinations.
“This edition anticipates “wide-ranging and high-quality involvement from various stakeholders and professionals across diverse sectors such as tourism and travel agencies, representatives from hotels, transportation firms, government ministries, banks, investors, and tour guides.
“Plans also include “active participation from Algerian artisans, especially those from southern regions, to display their creativity in traditional handicrafts. There will be representation from startups in digitalization and tourism promotion along with organized seminars aimed at exchanging experiences to renew the tourism sector and finalize partnership agreements,” according to the same source.
