Mobilis launches “MU Champions” challenge with weekly prizes worth up to 100 million centimes

Algeria Gate: Algerian telecommunications operator Mobilis has launched a new nationwide competition, “MU Champions,” offering its subscribers the chance to win cash prizes worth up to 100 million centimes and smartphones valued at up to 35 million centimes every week.

The initiative is part of Mobilis’s customer loyalty strategy and aims to reward subscribers for their use of its Revolution offers through the consumption and accumulation of Mobilis Units (MU).

The competition is open to two categories of participants: the six subscribers who consume the highest number of MU units and the six who accumulate the largest number of units.

12 winners announced every Thursday

Mobilis will announce 12 winners every Thursday, divided equally between the two categories.

The rewards include:

  • Six cash prizes every week, reaching up to 100 million centimes, for the highest MU consumers.
  • Six smartphones every week, worth up to 35 million centimes each, for subscribers who accumulate the most MU units.

The rankings will be determined by the number of units consumed or accumulated by each participant.

How are Mobilis Units calculated?

The operator has established a straightforward points system for calculating MU units:

  • One minute of calls = 5 MU units.
  • One SMS = 10 MU units.
  • One gigabyte of internet usage = 50 MU units.

The names of the weekly winners will be published on Mobilis’s official social media pages.

Through “MU Champions,” Mobilis seeks to strengthen its relationship with subscribers, encourage the use of its Revolution offers and reward customer loyalty through weekly prizes.

Algerian gas exports surge 51% as October records 2026 high

Algeria Gate: Algeria’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports recorded a significant recovery in October 2026, surging by more than 51% in a single month to reach their highest level since October last year, as European markets prepare for increased energy demand ahead of winter.

Algerian gas exports surge 51% as October records 2026 high

According to a report by Energy Research Unit published on Sunday, November 8, Algerian LNG shipments reached 1.03 million tonnes in October, compared with 680,000 tonnes in September, representing an increase of approximately 350,000 tonnes.

This marks the second time Algerian LNG exports have exceeded the one-million-tonne threshold in 2026, following May, when shipments reached 1.02 million tonnes. October’s performance also approaches the 1.09 million tonnes recorded during the same month in 2025.

Europe remains Algeria’s main market

European countries accounted for a significant share of Algerian LNG imports in October, with France emerging as the leading buyer, followed by Spain and Türkiye.

The increase comes as European countries seek to secure additional gas supplies ahead of winter, amid concerns over lower storage levels compared with previous years.

Algeria strengthens its position in international energy markets

The latest figures underline Algeria’s continued importance as a supplier of natural gas to European markets, through both LNG shipments and trans-Mediterranean pipelines.

Its geographical proximity to Europe and established export infrastructure provide the country with strategic advantages as demand for energy rises during the colder months.

With October recording its strongest monthly LNG export performance of 2026, Algeria is entering the final months of the year with renewed momentum in international energy markets.
