Algeria Triumphs in Cameroon… Traditional Crafts Win “Best International Pavilion”

Algeria Gate: Algerian traditional crafts made a remarkable presence at the sixth edition of the International Exhibition of Traditional Crafts in the Republic of Cameroon, after Algeria participated as Guest of Honour at this international event hosted by the National Museum in the capital Yaoundé from July 27th to August 5th of this year.

This participation was crowned with Algeria winning several awards, most notably the “Best International Pavilion” prize; a recognition that reflects the quality of the Algerian participation and confirms the standing that the national traditional crafts sector has come to occupy, thanks to its diversity, richness, and authenticity.

Over the ten days of the exhibition, the Algerian pavilion attracted wide interest from high-ranking figures, professionals, and the Cameroonian public. Algerian traditional products received great praise for their quality, authenticity, and variety, reflecting the skill and creativity of Algerian artisans and embodying the depth of the national cultural heritage.

This international recognition underscores the growing stature of Algerian traditional crafts on the global stage, as one of the foremost pillars of national cultural identity and a symbol of authenticity and creativity. It also reflects the success of efforts aimed at preserving, valuing, and promoting traditional crafts, thereby helping to showcase the national heritage and open new horizons for cultural and economic cooperation and exchange.

Algeria’s participation as Guest of Honour in this international event highlights its commitment to strengthening its presence in regional and international forums, promoting its traditional products as part of its civilizational heritage, and consolidating relations of cooperation with the Republic of Cameroon in the cultural and economic fields, in service of the shared interests of both countries.

Boualem Sansal… From Rituals of Loyalty to Israel to Systematic Incitement Against Algeria!

Boualem Sansal… From Rituals of Loyalty to Israel to Systematic Incitement Against Algeria!

Algeria Gate: The media of Bolloré continues to recruit its mouthpieces for blatant interference in Algeria’s affairs and the decisions of sovereign Algerian justice.

On the screen of “CNEWS,” a channel with an extreme right-wing orientation deeply immersed in anti-Algeria narratives, the individual known as Boualem Sansal did not miss the opportunity to attack, incite, and spew the venom of his deep-seated hatred toward Algeria, exploiting the case of the French journalist convicted on charges related to glorifying terrorism, Christophe Gleizes.

Sansal, who was convicted in Algeria on charges of undermining national unity, and who in his first media interview with a Hebrew channel after his release performed rituals of loyalty to Israel, days ago again expressed his support for the entity and claimed that his public endorsement of it was the “real reason” behind his arrest and imprisonment in Algeria.

In his latest provocative statements on the “CNEWS” channel, Sansal leveled serious accusations against the Algerian authorities by promoting misleading narratives. He claimed that Algeria is “playing with the French side and with the morale of the French,” in his words. More dangerously, Sansal went further in his accusations by what he called “toying with Christophe’s life.”

These are statements that could complicate the situation of Gleizes, who, in 2015 and 2017, communicated with one of the officials of the “MAK movement,” which Algeria classified as a terrorist organization in 2021. Christophe had admitted during his trial to committing “many professional errors,” despite what he called his “good intentions,” as well as entering Algeria on a tourist visa instead of a journalistic visa to prepare a journalistic report.

Sansal also went beyond all red lines by leveling accusations against Algeria, joining a hostile campaign of incitement against it and calling for what he termed “intensifying international pressure” and appealing to the European Union and the United Nations in a desperate attempt to pressure Algeria. In his statements, he forgot that the era of colonialism has ended and that Algeria is sovereign in its decisions.

UAE Mini-State Floods Spain with Drugs

UAE Mini-State Floods Spain with Drugs

Algeria Gate: A major international security operation carried out by Spanish authorities has dismantled a criminal network specialized in smuggling cocaine into Europe. The network relied on funding from investors in Dubai. The operation resulted in the arrest of 44 people and the seizure of 21 tons of cocaine.

Years-Long Investigation Targets Cross-Border Network

According to Spanish media reports on Wednesday, the Spanish police stated that the operation was the culmination of investigations lasting several years. These targeted a cross-border criminal network involved in transporting cocaine shipments to Spain, using commercial shipping containers to conceal the drugs and introduce them into Europe.

The Spanish Civil Guard said that the operation was conducted in close coordination with the national police of Ecuador and under the supervision of Europol. The investigations revealed that the network received financial support from investors in Dubai and relied on maritime routes to deliver its shipments to Spain.

First Phase: Raids in Ecuador

The same source indicated that the first security strikes against this network date back to March 2025, when Ecuadorian authorities carried out a series of raids targeting around 50 properties and resulting in the arrest of 36 suspects as part of the first phase of the investigation.

Second Phase: Arrests and Seizures in Spain

After completing the inquiries and exchanging information among the various security agencies, Spanish authorities launched the second phase of the operation. They arrested eight suspects during raids targeting several locations inside Spain and seized one million euros suspected of being linked to proceeds from international drug trafficking.

Banana Shipments Used to Conceal Cocaine

The investigations revealed that members of the network hid the cocaine inside shipments of commercial goods departing mainly from the port of Guayaquil in Ecuador, exploiting export traffic to Europe to conceal their criminal activity. Banana shipments were among the most commonly used methods to hide the drugs inside the containers.

According to Spanish authorities, this operation reflects the scale of the challenges posed by cross-border organized crime networks that rely on international financing structures and sophisticated methods to smuggle large quantities of drugs into the European continent. This requires continuous strengthening of international security coordination to pursue and dismantle them.
